Jack Greene named Outstanding Graduate for Research Dec. 2017

EVEN BSMS student Jack Greene has been named December 2017 Outstanding Graduate for Research by the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The Environmental Engineering Program strongly recommended him for this award, which is given in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements and his equally outstanding achievements in research as an undergraduate student in this College.

Jack is receiving his BS/MS (BS EVEN, MS CVEN). The award is for his undergraduate research on optimization of well placement for in situ remediation of groundwater contamination. For that work, he earned 3rd place in the Graduate Student Paper Competition at the 2016 World Environmental and Water Resources Congress of the American Society of Civil Engineers. For his M.S. research, he is investigating the use of Engineered Injection and Extraction as an in situ remediation technique for uranium-contaminated groundwater.

He will be individually recognized during the  on Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Macky Auditorium.
