Bob Marley's "Exodus" captures the logic of movement and in some ways reveals the Caribbean as a site of diaspora creation in multiple forms and from a variety of continental locations (Africa, India, Europe, the Mediterranean). Interesting听 links between the past and the present, location and dis(location), coloniality and decoloniality provide a much broader understanding of what constitutes the Caribbean.听 We will look at how people, ideas, and movements have circulated across space and time through the Americas and globally.
