In fall 2023, the first cohort of 67 Lattice Scholars began their academic journey in the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Each one will be the first in their family to earn a college degree.

鈥淎s a first-generation college student myself, and a proud 欧美口爆视频 Boulder alum, this program is near and dear to my heart,鈥 said Dean Keith Molenaar.

The Lattice Scholars Program aims to expand access to a 欧美口爆视频 Engineering education to all first-generation 欧美口爆视频 students who are Pell Grant-eligible and face financial or other barriers that might hinder a promising engineering career.

Lattice scholarships close the total cost-of-attendance gap for these students across four full years of study 鈥 an estimated value of up to $64,000 over those four years.

In addition to financial support, the program includes academic advising and mentoring so students develop the necessary skills and connections to thrive in their engineering studies and beyond.

Lattice Scholars builds on the university鈥檚 欧美口爆视频 Promise commitment to ensure equitable access to higher education and to address the growing burden of student debt.
