Building the Future of Education

Together, we can reimagine the future of education.

With you as our partner, we can build a community in the school's new campus home and remodeled building that inspires innovation and fosters collaboration. Join us, as we transform education and our communities for generations to come.

Why Join Us

These are exciting times in our School of Education. As we transition to our new home in the soon-to-be-renamed Ofelia Miramontes and Leonard Baca Education Building and make progress on the Fleming renovation, we have the opportunity to redesign the ways we work and learn together.

Our new home is about so much more than a renovated building: It鈥檚 about bringing the inventive, collaborative educational practices at the heart of our programs into the heart of our learning spaces. Students have always been at the center of our work, and now they are at the center our building. Our spaces are designed to be as innovative and equity-oriented as our mission.

I hope you鈥檒l join us in our mission to transform education and support our communities by .

With gratitude,
Dean Kathy Schultz

  Community connections

We strive to create supportive and humanizing learning environments where all of our community members can grow and thrive.

From huddle spaces to technologically connected conference rooms, our renovated building will offer every opportunity for students, faculty and staff to collaborate and build community. Our new home will offer private spaces for one-on-one consultations, so that students are able to receive the advising and guidance they need. Our new office layout will also bring doctoral student researchers to be in closer proximity to their advisors, allowing for deeper scholarly collaboration and mentorship.

We鈥檙e excited to strengthen our relationships with students and community partners in a more open and accessible building. We believe our reimagined spaces will nurture lasting partnerships.
At the School of Education, we value community connections 鈥 and we look forward to a space that will allow us to grow together.

   Together under one roof

Our new home will provide a space for our programs and centers to learn and grow together.

For the first time, all of our programs and centers at the School of Education will be housed in the same building 鈥 and will have the opportunity to flourish together and learn from one another.

Our school proudly houses six centers, which integrate research, professional development, teacher preparation, community engagement and policy work. Under one roof, our programs and centers will benefit from expanded opportunities to collaborate with community partners and with one another. From 欧美口爆视频 Engage鈥斉访揽诒悠 Boulder鈥檚 center for community-based learning and research鈥攖o the BUENO Center for Multicultural Education, our new home in the Fleming Building will integrate every component of our school and enrich our efforts.

With collaborative spaces and a spirit of community, the opportunities for enhancing our work and inspiring others will be endless.

   Supporting today鈥檚 students, tomorrow鈥檚 leaders

Our students are at the center of all that we do, and our reimagined spaces will ensure that we are supporting their opportunities to learn and become leaders in their field.

From cutting-edge classrooms to shared community spaces, our new home will support every student to learn and grow as professionals and leaders.

Our spaces will be designed to be collaborative, creative and flexible, so that students and instructors can reconfigure them and learn in dynamic spaces. State-of-the-art learning labs, which by providing opportunities for future teachers in STEM fields and elementary education will reflect current understandings about how classrooms support learning and growth. And our conference rooms and classrooms will be equipped with the latest technology.

At the School of Education, we want our students to be prepared for the classrooms of today and tomorrow. We鈥檙e preparing education leaders for the future, and our new home in the Fleming Building will better position us to carry out this mission.

We are looking forward to more face time with education undergraduates who might be interested in INVST Community Studies, our well-established social justice training program. Our nation's future teachers are some of the most engaging conversation partners! We are also eager to bump into education faculty and staff more often to exchange ideas. This will facilitate our ability to do community-based research projects together with the talented, well-respected education faculty.鈥
鈥 Sabrina Sideris, INVST Community Studies program director

The new building is a welcomed change for students in the School of Education, as it will help us to build community across program areas and disciplines. The space will lend itself to collaborative work as we share our ideas and engage in transformative learning opportunities as well as help our efforts to recruit talented students from diverse backgrounds.鈥
鈥 Ana Contreras, doctoral student

Our School of Education has a history of positive community impact and shaping the education leaders of tomorrow. The Fleming Building will provide a more innovative, interactive learning environment to prepare our students to be strong leaders and great educators in our communities. We are excited for this transition and all the opportunities it holds."
鈥 Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano, former dean for the School of Education, and Yvonne Distefano, Development Advisory Board member

Collaboration is at the heart of all of our cutting-edge teacher education programs. It is critical that we offer a space that reflects our deep commitment to these partnerships, inviting all members of our community to be part of our trailblazing teaching and learning programs.鈥
