The main user problem is measuring gain patterns of high frequency antennas within a laboratory environment at high degrees of precision. There are very few systems with the precision necessary to map antenna output within the near field range. Researchers need a precise and reliable way to analyze antenna gain patterns at very small increments in order to get accurate information. The TeraHertz Near-Field Range provides precise 7-axis scanning of gain patterns from antennas operating as high as 300 Ghz by utilizing hand built feedback controlled motor drivers. Using a custom precise positioning system, the TeraHertz Near-Field Range provides accompanying coordinate data with every gain pattern measurement. The error caused by over/under drifting of the probe can thus be corrected.

Laboratories interested in precisely characterizing antenna gain patterns will benefit from the TeraHertz Near-Field Range. From development of wireless communication systems to optimization of antenna function, the TeraHertz Near-Field Range is applicable in laboratory settings as well as in multiple stages of a design process. This product provides easier experimentation for private and academic laboratories.
