Do you want to develop better conversational skills?聽Would you like to learn how to make friends and build stronger relationships?聽Would you like to practice various styles of communication, including things like texting and email?

CAPS and Disability Services are collaborating to provide a聽Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS). PEERS is a 4-week, evidence-based social skills program designed for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).


How does PEERS work?

欧美口爆视频 Boulder students who are admitted into the PEERS program will participate in a once-weekly didactic group session, and check in each week with a social coach. The topics聽covered in the four-week curriculum will include:

  • Starting and maintaining conversations
  • Finding friends
  • Communicating electronically with others

The sessions will include interactive participation and examples of the discussed communication strategies.

Weekly homework check-ins are also offered to provide one-on-one support as you consider how to implement the skills into your daily life.


How can I join?

If you are interested in participating, an initial screening with CAPS and a pre-group screening are required prior to joining a group.聽Once you have completed a CAPS screening, please call CAPS (303-492-2277) or log in to your聽聽to schedule a PEERS screening appointment.

The PEERS Program is scheduled to start meeting in spring 2023.
