The campus has hosted an ongoing discussion on gun rights following a Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Supreme Court ruling last spring that held that Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ regents cannot set gun policies contrary to the state’s 2003 concealed-carry law.

Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ has no authority to prevent people from carrying concealed weapons on campus, according to an April ruling by the Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Court of Appeals, which set off a campus debate regarding guns.
