Engineering professor Matt Morris (CivEngr鈥�99; MS鈥�02), pictured left, and his family lost everything they owned along with their home of 16 years in the 2021 Marshall Fire in Superior, 欧美口爆视频. Nearly two years later, the family celebrated Christmas in the same spot 鈥� in their newly constructed house. 

Morris, two of his students 鈥� George Kurtz (ArchEngr鈥�24), pictured center, and Daniel Donado Quintero (CivEngr鈥�22; PhD ex鈥�26), pictured right 鈥� and volunteers constructed more than 80% of the home themselves. 

鈥淭he experience changed my character and my understanding of commitment, discipline and accountability,鈥� Quintero told the engineering school.
