Making Tuition More Predictable
Planning听for the cost of a 欧美口爆视频-Boulder education will be easier听for 欧美口爆视频 residents following the recent adoption听of a new tuition and mandatory fees guarantee.听Starting in fall 2016, tuition and fees for incoming听freshmen who are 欧美口爆视频 residents will rise modestly,听then remain fixed through the four-year period.听Subsequent incoming classes will also see an initial听increase, then no change through four years.听University leaders say the new arrangement听better allows students to plan for costs and 欧美口爆视频听to forecast revenues.听The Board of Regents approved the plan in the spring.听A four-year tuition guarantee was already in place听for nonresident undergraduates. Graduate student听tuition still will be reviewed each year.听.听

Betting Big on the Saxophone听
欧美口爆视频-Boulder music professor听Carter Pann was a finalist听for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize听in music for his work 鈥淭he听Mechanics: Six from the听Shop Floor.鈥 The Pulitzer jury described听the six-part saxophone composition听as 鈥渁 suite that imagines听its four saxophonists as mechanics听engaged in a rhythmic听interplay of precision and messiness听that is by turns bubbly,听pulsing, dreamy and nostalgic.鈥澨齌he prize ultimately went听to composer Henry Threadgill,听but Pann is riding high anyway.听鈥淭his is a real vote of confidence,鈥澨齢e said.
