The voices of Glenn Miller (A&S ex’26), Louis Armstrong, Tommy Dorsey and Count Basie are a few of the dozens of musicians whose recordings have a permanent home at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ.

The university acquired the Ed Burke Collection earlier this semester as part of the Glenn Miller Archive at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ’s American Music Research Center. One of the world’s most significant collections of Big Band era recordings and memorabilia, it contains 1,400 reel-to-reel tapes with live radio programs featuring virtually every musician of major importance between 1930-60.
