Education: PhD, The University of Pennsylvania, 2000
Research Interests:聽My research investigates how people understand language. Most of my work uses neuroimaging and behavioral techniques, especially scalp-recorded event-related potentials (ERPs) to study the cognitive and neural mechanisms of language processing.聽 These studies focus on the earliest stages of visual word recognition (within the initial 200 ms of encountering a word ) and on the processes that allow words to be combined into larger representations, such as sentences.聽聽聽
