ESPN听writer and Department of Communication alumna Kate Fagan will give the address on Friday, May 12, at Folsom Field.
Fagan joined ESPN in 2012 and has been a columnist and feature writer for espnW, whose stories have also appeared on ESPN.com and听ESPN The Magazine. She is a regular panelist on听ESPN鈥檚 Around the Horn,听contributes to听The Sports Reporters, First Take听and other shows.
Fagan has written several in-depth profiles that have generated media and social buzz, including an听ESPN The Magazine听story on听, a breaking-news interview with Derrick Gordon, the听听in NCAA Division I men鈥檚 basketball and a poignant look at听, a University of Pennsylvania track and field athlete who died by suicide.
Previously, Fagan spent three seasons covering the Philadelphia 76ers for the听Philadelphia Inquirer.听Prior to that, she was also a sports writer for听The Glen Falls Post-Star听and the sports editor of听The Ellensburg Daily Record.
