Distinguished Professor Lineberger Honored for 50 Years of Service

Distinguished Professor Carl Lineberger was honored by by Chancellor Phillip DeStefano for 50 years of service at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder. He started as a postdoctoral student in 1968, working with Lewis Branscomb, the founder of JILA. Despite his undergraduate and graduate degrees being in electrical engineering, he joined the chemistry faculty in September 1970 as an assistant professor.

He is now a distinguished rofessor of chemistry, and a fellow at JILA. The College of Arts and Sciences Magazine has an article on all the professors celebrating 50 years at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder here, and Professor Lineberger’s essay on the event is here.
