BarbaraÌýFlocke is the Assistant Director for Curriculum and Instruction at the International English Center at Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder.ÌýWith over 25 years of experience,Ìýshe works with faculty to provideÌýengaging language lessons that help students excel and reach their English language, academic and professional goals. Since 2007,ÌýBarbaraÌýhas taught at the IEC, creatingÌýextensive curriculum for the Intensive English, ESLÌýAcademic Bridge, and the Global Business CommunicationÌýprograms.ÌýShe is a regular presenter atÌýTESOLÌýInternationalÌýandÌýother professionalÌýconferences,Ìýfocusing on multi-level instruction, metacognition,Ìýand communicative teaching.ÌýBarbaraÌýholdsÌýan MA in Curriculum and Instruction withÌýa concentration inÌýTESL from the University of Texas in Austin, and a BA in French with a Political Science minor from Gonzaga University. Besides learning about languages and world cultures, sheÌýloves hiking, cycling, skate skiing, and creating clay sculptures.
