Profile

Janice Brown received a BA in Japanese language, and an MA and PhD in Asian Studies (Modern Japanese Literature) from the University of British Columbia. She has been at the University of 欧美口爆视频 at Boulder since 2007, where she is Professor and current Chair of the department. Prior to coming to 欧美口爆视频-Boulder, she was Professor and Chair of East Asian Studies at the University of Alberta. She is the author of Hayashi Fumiko: I Saw A Pale Horse and Selected Poems from Diary of a Vagabond, and Tarnished Words: The Poetry of 艑ba Minako. Her areas of specialization are modern Japanese women writers, modern and contemporary Japanese women鈥檚 poetry, Japanese women鈥檚 literary history, and modern and contemporary Japanese fiction.
