Dejun 鈥淭ony鈥 Kong (Ph.D. in Business Administration, Washington University in St. Louis, USA) is an Associate Professor of Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics at the University of 欧美口爆视频 Boulder鈥檚 Leeds School of Business. He is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science.

Tony鈥檚 research addresses the overarching question: How can we enable people to be more prosocial? Specifically, he does research on trust in various social interactions (e.g., negotiations, leadership, teams, cross-cultural settings, etc.), positive psychology in organizations (e.g., humor, gratitude, passion, authenticity, etc.), and behavioral ethics (moral emotions, prosocial/antisocial behaviors, and diversity/equity/inclusion). He has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles. According to Elsevier BV and Stanford University, Tony is a top 2 percentile听scientist (based on single years) worldwide. His research has appeared in numerous journals such as听Academy of Management Journal,听Academy of Management Review, Current Opinion in Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology,听Journal of Business Ethics,听Journal of Experimental Social Psychology,听Journal of Management,听 Journal of Organizational Behavior,听Journal of Personality,听Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes,听Organizational Psychology Review, and听Psychological Science. In 2016, his co-edited book 鈥淟eading through Conflict: Into the Fray鈥 was published by Palgrave Macmillan.

Tony has received numerous research, teaching, and service awards. For example, he received a Best Conflict-in-Context Paper Award and a Most Influential Article Award from the Academy of Management鈥檚 (AOM) Conflict Management Division. In 2020, he received the University of South Florida鈥檚 Women and Leadership Initiative (WALI) research award. In 2019, he was selected by听Poets & Quants听as a 鈥40 under 40鈥 best business professor in the world. He was also named an Ascendant Scholar in 2019 by the Western Academy of Management, a Rutgers Research Fellow, and a University of Louisville鈥檚 Rechter Fellow for Leadership.

Tony has actively engaged in various kinds of service work for his professional and local communities. For example, he served as a trustee of St. Anthony鈥檚 Hospital in Florida. He has been serving as an Associate Editor of Journal of Management and听Journal of Organizational Behavior, and on the editorial review boards of numerous other journals, such as the听Academy of Management Journal,听Academy of Management Review, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes,听and听Organization Science.听He was a Rep-at-Large of the International Association for Conflict Management, chairing multiple awards committees. In 2024, he was elected to be Program Chair-elect of AOM Conflict Management Division. He has strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), such as serving as an Ambassador-at-Large for the AOM Diversity & Inclusion Theme Committee, organizing an AOM workshop on 鈥淚nclusive Collaborations and Classrooms,鈥 and co-creating a university-wide DEI pedagogy training module.
