Biography
In addition to her law degree and familiarity with tax law, Lorna has experience in many facets of the financial markets. She has worked in residential mortgages, mutual and hedge funds, and consumer banking. In addition, she owned and managed a real estate investment company that managed its own properties and provided property management services to other real estate owners: over 200 residential units at a time.
Lorna earned her Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from 欧美口爆视频-Boulder and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver. She regularly teaches and helped develop the freshman introductory course (BCOR 1015 鈥淲orld of Business鈥), and regularly teaches CESR 4000 鈥淟eadership Challenges: Exercises in Moral Courage鈥 (an upper-division elective) and the onboarding/introductory Day 0 class for incoming students of the Business Minor, which she developed. 听Lorna鈥檚 teaching repertoire also includes the junior-level Corporate Social Responsibility course, BCOR 3010 鈥淏usiness Applications of Social Responsibility.鈥澨 Although as a part-time faculty member Lorna is ineligible for the Leeds specific student-nomination Frascona teaching award, she has been nominated for this award consistently since joining the Leeds faculty in 2010.
