Biography

Birdie Reznicek is the Associate Dean for Culture & Community, serving to strengthen an inclusive community marked by interdisciplinary collaboration and a culture of care at Leeds. As a faculty member of the Social Responsibility and Sustainability (SRS) Division, she currently serves as the interim Associate Chair of SRS and the Director of the Social Responsibility & Ethics (SRE) Certificate program in partnership with the Center for Ethics & Social Responsibility (CESR).

As an Associate Teaching Professor, Birdie teachesÌýCESR 4005 Business Solutions for the Developing World, an upper level course that gives students first-hand experience in using the tools of business to address social issues such as poverty alleviation. Birdie partners with social entrepreneurs around the world, guiding pro bono consulting projects that help further the mission of social impact organizations.Ìý Birdie also teachesÌýBCOR 1015 World of Business, a first-year required course offered in partnership with the Hernando deSoto Capital Markets Program; and BCOR 2302 Business Ethics & Social Responsibility, a second-year required course that challenges students to think critically about the ethical dimensions of business dilemmas.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

Prior to joining the faculty, Birdie was the Managing Director of CESR, where she served as primary liaison to CESR’s Board Members, Fiscal Officer, and coordinator of the annual Conscious Capitalism Conference. Birdie worked in the field of social entrepreneurship as the Enterprise Director for Golden Gate Community Inc, a community development non-profit within the Roberts Enterprise Development Fund’s portfolio of social enterprises.ÌýBirdie‘s for-profit experience includes the executive development program at MetLife and the Financial & Health Services Group at Booz Allen Hamilton.Ìý
