Graduation Checklist

Students who wish to graduate from 欧美口爆视频 Boulder and听participate in the university commencement ceremony must apply to graduate. 听 听

Remember that graduation and commencement are not the same thing! 鈥淐ommencement鈥 refers to the ceremony that celebrates graduation. In the spring, the university holds a main commencement ceremony to which all prospective graduates are invited. Many departments also hold smaller, more intimate ceremonies for students in their majors.听

鈥淕raduation鈥 refers to the award of a degree upon confirmation that all degree/major/minor requirements are complete. 鈥淕raduation鈥 is always associated with the completion of a spring, summer or fall term. Degree requirements are not reviewed or confirmed until grades are official for the term.

Submitting an online application for graduation by the published deadline will add your name to the university commencement program and notify the College of Arts and Sciences that you wish to be considered for graduation review once grades are official.

Some Special Graduation Considerations to Discuss with your Advisor

If you are a Concurrent Degree student, you must submit an online application for graduation for EACH degree program/college on your record. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the and submit your online application early to ensure your name is included in the Commencement ceremony handbook and your diploma mailing address is on file.听If one of your degree programs is with another college, please contact that college for their graduation application process. 听

Note: All concurrent degrees must be awarded in the same term. If you choose to change your intended graduation date, please update your graduation date for all programs.

If all requirements have been completed for your Arts and Sciences degree with at least one major in the term in which you have applied to graduate, you will be graduated with all completed majors, even if you have declared majors that remain incomplete.听If you decide to postpone your graduation date until all declared majors are complete, please submit a new online application for graduation via your .

If you have a declared minor that is not complete at the time of graduation, you can听decide to postpone your graduation date until your declared minor is complete, or you can drop the minor and graduate without it.

Note: Minors cannot be added after graduation.

If you would like to change your graduation date after you have submitted an online graduation application, you must submit a new online application for graduation via your for the updated graduation term.听If you have previously submitted an online application for a different term, submitting a new online application will automatically remove your previously submitted application.

If you are working toward a teacher certification, please contact the School of Education regarding their current procedures.听If you change your graduation date, please notify the School of Education in addition to submitting a new online application for graduation via your . 听

Note: teacher certification is not considered a concurrent degree or double major.

Please check with your Primary Academic Advisor to see if you are eligible to add an additional major to your previously earned degree. If you are eligible, when you are nearing completion of your additional major, notify your Academic Advisor. Upon review and verification of completion, Arts and Sciences will notify the Office of the Registrar to add the additional major to your transcript

Please contact your Primary Academic Advisor to determine if you have met the special requirements in effect for a second baccalaureate degree. If all criteria have been met, follow the above instructions to apply online for graduation via your and see your Academic Advisor for a paper graduation application.
