Public private partnerships, or PPPs, have become an accepted form for government to obtain aerospace research, technology development and aerospace program execution.Ìý NASA, the DoD, other U.S. government agencies as well as state governments are increasingly using variations of this approach in many aspects of their operations.Ìý PPPs have become an integral and foundational part of government’s future strategic planning, and, as a result, will continue to influence aerospace engineering for the foreseeable future.Ìý
Join us as we explore the development of PPPs in aerospace, how they are being used now and what they might become over the coming years.Ìý This Future Insight Seminar is being led by Mark Sirangelo, our Entrepreneur-Scholar-Residence, who, through his roles as former head of Sierra Nevada Space Systems, Chief Innovation Officer of the State of Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ, most recent Chairman of the DoD’s Defense Innovation Board and co-founder of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation has experienced PPPs in many forms.Ìý Mark has been engaged, in business and through his governmental work, directly and indirectly in over 20 PPPs, including one of the largest in commercial space history.Ìý Join Mark for an inside look at PPPs and explore:

- What are some of the more successful and unsuccessful case studies?
- How is industry adopting to this trend?
- What is the future of PPPs and how might they continue to develop?
- How will PPPs influence my research and my future in aerospace?
