Dear colleagues,

This last month has been challenging. I want to thank our faculty and academic staff for meeting this challenge by focusing on our mission—research, scholarship, creative work, and teaching; focusing on each other; and, of course, focusing on our students.Ìý

Equally important is staying inspired, and there’s plenty to be inspired about in this month’s Provost Post. Check out the tribute to Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Athletics Student Success innovator Kris Livingston, whose nearly three decades of service has transformed the academic performance and the lives of our student-athletes.

There’s a great piece by Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Partnerships Bryn Rees on how realignments in RIO are supporting expanded opportunities for innovation and partnership, a story about a record-breaking year for Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ startups, and an update on the lineup for this year's Conference on World Affairs.Ìý

Thank you for sticking together and grounding our mission in your humanity. And thank you for all that you do to support and advance Å·ÃÀ¿Ú±¬ÊÓƵ Boulder.

With gratitude,

Russ
